Yes! The final book in The Nome Chronicles series launched today and I’m practically giddy. I’ve got a chilled bottle of Moscato waiting and I’m going to celebrate with that and a book. Oh, and chocolate cake. It’s become somewhat of a tradition to have chocolate cake and an alcoholic beverage with the launch of each book. =D
Snatch your copy now, while the price is a low $0.99c. The price is that low to celebrate the launch and will go up to $4.99. The Paragon is currently available at Amazon and Google Play but will go live at Barnes & Noble (Nook), Kobo and Apple in a few hours.
When love turns to hate, is there a way back?
Since her father’s death and the subsequent betrayal, Neith trusts no one. She has learned to be ruthless and will do whatever it takes to defeat anyone in her way. Having once loved Invier only adds to her determination to crush him.
Invier can’t believe the girl he sacrificed so much for wants him dead, and he’s desperate to convince Neith he’s not her enemy. But her threat is not his only concern, nor is she the only one he needs to save. In the end, finding a solution might require him to resort to the very tool he hates—violence—and, he may need to kill the one he loves.
Invier and Neith’s struggles will bring them head to head in a final and deadly showdown as The Nome Chronicles come to a thrilling conclusion in THE PARAGON.
I’m still tinkering with the blurb for The Pursual. Here’s what I have so far. Continue reading “Blurb Work Redux: The Pursual”
Writing the blurb for The Pursual has been the hardest thing ever. As in…the extra hardest.
I honestly didn’t think it would prove as difficult, even though I’ve read that it’s hard work.
(Yeah, I can be as delusional as the next person *Kanye shrug*) Continue reading “Blurb Work: The Pursual”
I’ve introduced Neith as well as Landen Sohr – two characters in Book 1 of the Nome Chronicles Trilogy, The Pursual.
As I get closer to finishing the publication process, I realize I haven’t shared much about a major character called Invier.
Invier is Neith’s boyfriend. (In my head, I said boo, but I’m glad I typed boyfriend, lol). He’s a stubborn fella, but he loves his girl completely.
It was a little difficult figuring out what he looked like in my head. I knew components of his features but then one day, I decided to actually figure out exactly what he looked like

Last week, I wrote about my approach to determining when I would publish THE PURSUAL. In that post, I noted my review of the top 100 books in the Teen & Young Adult Romance category. I also wrote on the months that were absent of books.
Now, it’s time to follow up with what I did as the next part of my research to answer the question posed above.
Continue reading “When’s the best time of year to publish my book? Pt 2”
This is undoubtedly a question most of us Indie Writers ask at some point in the creative process. From my research, there’s no definite answer. Nevertheless, I felt the need to do some searching for AN answer.

My current work in progress, The Pursual, is the first story I plan to publish as a novel. As such, I think developmental editing will be essential to creating the best possible product.
But now, a problem presents itself. One I hope is not unique to me.
How do I pick the right editor for me?

I was at kboards the other day and stumbled upon a timely thread titled, Legality of quoting the bible and referencing popular culture.
I’m glad I read it because doing so forced me to research a question I had. See, in my first draft of Book 2 of The Nome Trilogy Chronicles, I reference 3 well-known books. One of them is the Bible, by the way. All I do is mention the titles of these books and a character avoids reading them because they are thicker than he would like.

Are you into YA books? Do you like Science Fiction and Dystopian tales?
Look no further than Ripley Patton’s GHOST HAND.
The much-anticipated fourth and final book of The PSS Chronicles is here. And author Ripley Patton invites you to help her celebrate it’s launch June 15-21.

The Pursual, Book 1 in my series, The Nome Chronicles Trilogy, has been done for a while but due to a few issues, I only got to do a thorough review over the last 3 weeks. I feel so good knowing I got through this last round of editing. I even had a glass of wine. I’ve battled the flu and other issues in that time but feel so grateful.
But, all that work is just a drop in the ocean of what is to come. I want the story to have a professional developmental edit and proofreading. A professional cover needs to be created, the story will need to be formatted for print and ebook format. Even after all that, the work will not cease as marketing and networking will be essential.
Oh, and did I mention that I still have to edit Book 2 and write Book 3? All of which will require the same steps needed for Book 1.
Still, I’m happy to be where I am right now. Only God knows what will come of all of this but I pray this writing venture all goes well because I feel very blessed to be doing what I’m doing.
So, take it away Linnithia Leakes –
