Do you have music playing in the background when you write?
I do and as the title above suggests, music and writing go hand in hand for me when I’m being creative.
My writing music is heavily indie-oriented but I do enjoy the likes of Lana Del Rey (she’s considered mainstream, right?), BANKS, Phantogram ….
I also love hearing Asa, Feist, Flume, Tove Lo … you name it, I want it to hear it.
What do you listen to?
Check out my current playlist – ‘Modern Writing Music’. Oh, it includes songs from Game of Thrones, The Leftovers and Battlestar Galactica (the reimagined series, which in my opinion was the best. show. evah!), some good old funk, palmwine music and more.
