You know how you have a book that you’ve been reading for forever and a day?
The current book to claim my Forever & A Day spot is An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir.
It’s good so far, but I just can’t get through these first few pages. The other book I struggled with like this was Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch.
I got through it and even managed to start reading book 2, Ice Like Fire, but then I quit.
And this from a broad who thinks its disrespectful to start a book and not finish it.
I’m gonna try harder to finish An Ember in the Ashes. I mean, why get books and not read them, right? I will say this, I like the way author Sabaa Tahir is creating the world of the characters.without being heavy handed or distracting. I’m also intrigued to see what will happen to the main female character as she has just been discovered by rebels in the catacombs. Will she find her brother? Will she change the world? (cue suspenseful music here, thank you very much).
Guess I’ll have to finish reading to find out huh?
